IT Management Professional "Downsized"

Hey all,

I've been "downsized".

After 10 years with the same company I'm back on the market. I was most recently a technology Product Development Manager but I have about 12 years experience managing the development of large-scale web sites and initiatives.

If you hear of any good opportunities out there (mainly in the SE), please let me know.

Same thing happened to me in May after 7+ years in the same place. Took me a few months and a little bit of a pay hit, but I eventually found something that has turned out to be a good move.

Wish you luck, would help if I could, but don't really know anyone down that way. There is a PPOT LinkedIn group, and several area related groups,a nd I found it a good resource to get in through the back door directly to HR or hiring managers when I found a position that looked good.

I'm sorry to hear this. Hang tough, get on LinkedIn, update the resume and interviewing skills and hit the streets (figuratively, of course). Use your network and let people who know you help you get leads!! I found my current job through a fellow Pelican (kach22i), who gave my resume to his wife, who gave it to a friend/recruiter and the rest is history!!
