I'm Starting To Lose It
I've been semi-sick for a few weeks now. I had a terrible cough and last monday I finally went to the doctor and found out I had bronchitis. As the week went on I was starting to feel better, up until yesterday morning. I woke up with a terrible sore throat and swollen lymph nodes. Thats when my fear of mono started to creep up. Since the beginning of the semester, I have been killing the books and staying up late from sunday night until thursday. The three night weekends, I was hitting the partying harder than ever. I went back to the doctor yesterday and confirmed my fears that I do in fact have mono. I don't feel too bad (aside from the sore throat) but eventually I guess I will get really tired. The only thing I can do is rest. The worst part is, though, that I can't do any physical activity or drink any alcohol for 3-4 weeks. I'm in college. I just stayed in on Halloween and am obviously staying in for round 2 tonight. And then staying in for every weekend until after Thanksgiving.
Sorry I just had to vent, I'm just incredibly bored and tired of surfing the web and watching tv. Hopefully this forced break from fun will force me to buckle down in these last crucial weeks of the semester.

Heh.
I'm old (30). I went out for Halloween for the first time in years. Went to Kappa Kabana. On the way there, we hit this: http://www.pantagraph.com/articles/2008/11/01/news/doc490bd517ec01a134303461.txt Quote:
When we got to Kappa, it was empty as no one could get there. Sadly, very few of the employees were there.

Yes, but in the week or two period when I was exposed, I didn't . It was more likely from sharing cups and such at the various parties and ski tournaments I was at.
Sorry, I don't have a camera, so no good pics. I am getting a camera soon, so maybe I will snap some good ones for you guys in the near future. Legion, that's too bad that the night ended up that way. Is everyone from the accident ok? Any serious injuries?

Enjoy the fact that you *can* relax for 4 weeks.
Graduate, get a job (no more spring break, BTW) have a couple of kids, and being laid up is no longer an option. Suck it up, dad....18 month old kid does not give a rat's azz how you feel. Neither does that lovely bride who used to...nevermind. That will all come later. Right now, you can rest up and get better. I used to think I was SOOOO busy in college (BSEE). Looking back, it was pretty tame compared to now. Feel better, though. Really. I hope you caught it by hooking up with way too many 20-something gals. You'll miss that, too.
