$50,000 Porsche Question

If you had $50K allocated for a Porsche, what would you buy?

I'm not asking because I am in this situation, just curious to see what you folks would do.

Best,

A 993 C2S and then whatever's left after the purchase price would be put into suspension mods and a sweet exhaust.

If there is anything left after those, a frozen Coke for the wife and kids.

My three ideas would be:

1) '98 993, try for an S;
2) Early 997, but not sure if $50k would do it; or
3) '72T with money left over to make it a hot rod.

I've already got a hot-rodded long-hood hooligan, so I'd be tempted to look at a year-old Cayman S.

993 C4S, hands down. Go for an earlier car, in hopes of having something left over for the necessary modifications.

I'd buy the best '95 993 I could find.

I would spend it on the Porsche I already have.

Maybe this:

Then a set of these:

Maybe a 924GTS? I'd guess they go for a bit more than $50k.

Seriously, I'd do some freakish mods to my 914-6 track car.

I'd lowball VMC and get this (I saw it today, it really is a damned nice car):

I could make you a good deal on our 1987 Turbo that is up on the block and also my 914-6 vintage race car that is also for sale. You would have a "collection" and be able to spend all you spare time and $$$$$ vintage racing and tooling to/from the track in the 930!
