I just hope the Chinese weapons aren't as lethal as their food, toys, clothing, etc...

Tit for tat. Weapons to Taiwan = threat of aircraft carrier, although I am sure it is a convenient retaliation. They are arming. They have to, to live up to their concept of a world power.

I see where the Ruskies resumed flying 50 year old bombers with 50 year old nukes 24/7 in a mis-guided homage to the cold war. I think they stopped 20 years ago because they couldn't afford the fuel. As the price of oil falls worldwide they may have to put the fleet back in mothballs until oil breaks $100 again.

Wonder how keen that Chinese aircraft carrier will look as the Chinese economy come unraveled. Is there's a literal translation into Chinese for the phrase "credit default SWAP."

You mean like we give them some of our carriers to forgive some of the credit they extended us? The Chinese economy is on stronger footing and better tracjectory than the US'.
