Multiple SMS Text messages
I am working with a high school robotics team, and it would be useful to send text messages to a group of students at once.... meeting notices, reminders, change in schedules, etc. 8-15 students.
Is there a simple way to do this? |
Lots of phones allow you to configure distribution lists. What phone and server do you subscribe to.

Yeah, what steve said. Make a group.

I'm on AT&T, most students are probably Verizon. But I don't know for sure. I found a way to sent to emails to phones:
to send an email to a verizon phone, it is: 10-digit@vtext.com for AT&T: 10-digit@txt.att.net |

What they said. Look in the address book within your phone. There is likely a feature that allows you to add entries to group. You can add all of your students to this group. In my phone (Blackberry Curve) it shows the group as just another entry in the address book (ie, in the list of names it will say Ray, Rob, Robotics Group, Ryan). When you want to send them all a message, compose the message and made the recipient be the group that you have created. All members of the group will receive the sms text message.
