Audi crash... Wow!
|
|
I got that in an email some time back. Incredible (lucky) that the only intact area of the car is the driver's seat.
|
Hopefully he didn't have any passengers.
That picture is representative of the reasons that the most aggressive driving I have ever done has always been when I am alone in the car. |
On the bright side, it was only an Audi.
Glad no one died in that wreck! |
I guess that will teach him to park near the Gruppe...
|
and a black one too!

I'm sure Audi would rather not have these pictures displayed in advertising, but IMO this is some of the best advertising you could ever get for a car - look at how intact the driver's area is - no crumpling anywhere. That's amazing, and shows what good engineering can do.

Yeah, I have seen that too. I remember seeing something like this in the late 90's I think. A bright blue A4 (or maybe an A3) hit a tree going along the Mulsanne Straight. Like that, this car split into two or more pieces and was all over the place. Somebody had to die in that one. Has anybody seen that set of photos?
Oh, an no more smart black Audi comments. |
well, you can't do that at 50 mph

The passenger side air bag wouldn't have deployed unless the system had detected someone in the seat. The driver is a lucky man. Can't say that about his passenger. Sherwood |

Beat me to it...:D |
First person to say "that'll buff out" is a registered idiot.

Looks like Jim C's car on the way to turn it in after it's lease was up!!

That thing is going to have some electrical gremlins when they put it back together.
|
Surely no worse than the factory electrical gremlins....
