Internet Explorer error message

Don't tell me to go with Firefox or a Mac, or I'll hunt ya down and fart in your general direction and taunt you like an English Pig Dog....just tell me if you have run into this message and know a solution......

I'm running IE 8 Beta 2 on Windows XP.

The message is telling you that it can't read from a portion of your RAM. Download MemTest, boot into Safe Mode and let MemTest run to about 300% coverage.

Also, IE8 has been postponed until sometime in (late?) 2009, which IMO signals some sort of problem, and probably not a small one. I'd stick with either IE7, or FireFox (yea yea) running IETab, which lets you open web pages using the IE rendering engine.

The link doesn't work....what were your search terms?

Joe Bob 11-23-2008 05:09 PM

I used the last string of numbers with "referenced memory" before them.

Also the last string changes each time the error message comes up.

You should try Firefox or Safari. And ms beta? Come on! Use some sense, man!

There. That's what you get for deleting posts in the "legs and butt" thread.

Try google chrome. Its faster than IE7

I don't get any hits when I use those search terms.

The reason the number (the octel memory address) is changing each time is because RAM is Random access; IE isn't always writing to the same spot in RAM.

IE7, FireFox, and Safari aren't going to fix the problem if it is what I think it, which is bad RAM. If you haven't already tested your memory, you should.

As opposed to google software, which is perpetually in beta?
