iMac advice

I bought a buddy of mine an old iMac a year or so back (the big wedge looking one) just so he could surf the net. He's a single guy with zero computer experience and this worked well for him.

Well, the screen went bonkers (stretching, warping, etc.) yesterday and I understand this is common when they are in the throws of death and likely not worth the $ to repair.

I have located locally a G4 iMac (the articulating arm on pod deal) for a few hundred bucks and am wondering if this is a good move. He literally only surfs the net and does e-mail, so I could care less about anything else.

Any reason not to get this? Price seem fair $350

*****17" monitor with swivel arm coming out from base
*****80GB Hard Drive
*****2 Firewire ports
*****2 USB ports on computer, 2 USB ports on keyboard
*****Speakers that add an even cooler appearance to computer
*****Superdrive that burns DVD's and CD's
*****RAM 768
*****Processor: 1Ghz
*****Original manuals and software

Running Tiger

Thanks.
