There are a few decent humans left...
|
Familly owned business, that is the key. I bet the new owners will not do the same.

Great story. Remember, there are lots of decent humans left, we're just quieter and make for boring news ;)

Another decent human from an unlikely source!

The first thing that I thought to myself on the Ball Bearing Company is that it is a company that I want to buy from for my resale biz. It's too bad that they sold the company.
as for the superbowl ring, the comment of even paying the tax on the ring! wow on two points Good for him! and BAD for the Gub'net. Do they really need to stick their fingers in everything. |
Just think how surprised the employees would be if the CEO from XYZ publicly traded company would say to the compensation committee, take my $20 million bonus and split it equally among the employees. Even with 20,000 employees, that's still $1000 a piece.
It can be done in a publicly owned company if the CEO wants. There will be plenty of companies this year who will pay out bonuses to exec's and not to the rank and file. Good story! |
Well this one lets me out...Mother doesn't even think I am human....

Reminds me of working in my dad's construction company year ago.
Every Christmas he would show up at the shop and hand out $2000 Christmas bonus checks (at least that was what mine came to). And every year he would take us out to the Comedy and magic club in Hermosa Beach CA. and pick up the tab... on a few occasions we saw Jay Leno! When my brother took over the company those traditions went by the wayside. :( |
