We had coney dogs and nachos.

My Mom brought the ground beef and "gravy" from our favorite Mexican diner in our hometown. MMM, MMMM, Good.

A small city in Northern India. Wife is facing an 18 hour plane trip to get home.

Note: Ah yes, joy....daughter and I won't be going. Wifes brothers hate her for marrying a non-Indian. My daughter and I would be too 'disruptive' if we were to go to the funneral. Sickening.

Nothing left of the birds to post. I deep fried a turkey and a duck this year. 10th year on the turkey, first year on the duck. Both came out excellent. Planning ahead for Christmas, have done turkeys, salmon, tri tip, pork butt, cornish hen and duck. Any suggestions?

tri-tip is basically a bottom sirloin roast usually marinated with teriyaki or lemon pepper and the like. VERY tender. Crap, now I am hungry.

Santa Maria Tri-Tip - a Central Coast California specialty. Trip-Tip, dry rub pepper seasoning, cooked over red oak coals. Served with baked beans, french bread and cold slaw.

You basically dry rub and insert garlic cloves and fry like a turkey but 5 minutes a pound instead of 3 1/2. It wasn't my most successful experiment, I prefer grilling beef and pork, but what really came out great that I forgot to mention was lobster tails. I bought some live spiny lobsters in Ventura one New Years and fried for 1 min. per pound. Those and the salmon were the most successful.

The duck turned out nice and moist, I got a lot of compliments on it.

I know what tri-tip is!! LOL

I had never heard of someone deep frying one.

I like the idea of frying the other fowl, and possibly the lobster. Lobster is a tough call because boiling is as easy and has less mess to clean up.

Now I'm hungry too!
