Gee, a "Big Chill" fan...I wonder how many funerals played that song after the movie came out? |
My favorite aunt passed away recently at 84. She requested Rod Stewart's "Forever Young" be played at her funeral. She was a family treasure.

I suppose Bobby Brown is expected. Followed by the whole congregation joining in on the chorus in Friggin in the Riggin.

One of my beautiful aunties passed away last week. One of three friends/family we lost in a seven day period :(...
2 songs - both Rod Stewart: 'Sailing'; and as we left the chapel 'You're in My Heart'. Perfect choice, especially 'You're in My Heart'. Everyone always said Uncle Harry and Auntie Mary were the perfect couple - totally in unison and totally together :). I had the pleasure (it was an honour) last year to choose the music for Mum...the hardest was she loved music and had too many favorites and too many "songs for the two of them"... Mum - Unforgettable, Nat King Cole (she is - unforgettable) The Power of Love, Jennifer Rush She, Charles Aznavour (Dad's song for Mum) Come Fly With Me, Frank Sinatra The Old Fashioned Way - Charles Aznavour When I go? Not planning on going anywhere for a while but when I do it had better be with a bloody great bang! Imagine - Randy Crawford Most People I know (Think that I'm Crazy) - the late great Billy Thorpe Wouldn't mind being carted out to "It's All Over Now", the Stones.... If I last til I'm old and grey, the paramedics might need to be in attendance for the surviving oldies as I like my music LOUD :D |
