Where is T. Boone Pickens?
Have not heard from him in a while? What happened?
|
good question
|
The answer my friend, is blowin' in the wind.
Maybe he's hanging out with Ross Perot, making charts & graphs. |
|
Oklahoma State is good this year, he's been watching football.
|
Both he and my father went to OK A&M. He did a little better.
As far as where is he now? He's screwed. The wind portion was for public consumption. He really wanted to get cars converted to Natural Gas. He has a chance with Obama, since a carbon tax favors Methane over long chained hydro-carbons. |
he's going to be an energy consultant for BHO

It's hard to sell snake oil when real medecine got cheap.
|
I doubt he will slow down. He's for energy independance and that, we are not.
Maybe he has just slowed the advertising during the transition - besides, he spent a chunk of his own dough and he may need a little recovery time. The economy is affecting everyone - even him. |
Yeah, he spent a huge chunk of money on Wind power, and wanted to make certain that the fed continues to subsidize it!

My son in law wrote the cartoon for awhile over Boone. They had numerous death threats against them. They did get interviewed on HBO special with Bryant Gumbell hosting. My son in law thought they'd get grilled but they didn't. When Christopher graduated that may from OSU he wore a boonstate pin and when the Dean of students shook his hand he said this is the guy that wrote a cartoon about OSU. It was in the stadium and everyone kind of gasped. Then he said it was all in good fun bla bla bla. Boone has a huge ranch 20 miles from my house. I pass it on my Sunday long course runs. Until a month ago it employed 300 people. They cut that back to 50. he has put his wind farm on hold. Over 650 costing 10 billion. Not gonna happen for awhile. He said a couple of months ago he'd lest over a billion of his own money. Trust me though he was one of those major speculators that drove the price of crude to 147. |
