Spell Check.

Despite almost four years of Pelican spamming, I can not seem to learn how to spell. Almost every time I get words corrected. Very difficult language. But why is there an English Spell Check on an American forum? I have never seen one in any Swedish forum.

I figure its a symptom of generosity toward your random foreign members. Thanks! :)

I'd bet your english is better than 90% of the US. The english language is a mess and I would imagine very hard to learn later in life.

I think the spell check is to make us all look smarter than we are. Besides, it only corrects spelling, not grammar and the grammar here is nothing to brag about. <---- see, never end a sentence with a preposition

Pelican topic association as strong as ever! I think I remember starting out mentioning my bad spelling. Or was it kissing..

you will no doubt be excited to know that MS Word thinks my notes on New Orleans eateries and places to visit or revisit is written in French - it keeps pulling up that spell checker and telling me that the English words are spelled wrong

- not to mention words like Persephone, Terpsichore, Tchoupitoulas ...
