Pizzza Pizza!

Decided to bring my inner 25% Sicilian to the light by having a pizza night. Turned out fantastic! Home made sauce, home grown tomatoes, home made dough, and last but not most certainly not least, home made tools!

drool...

Tool that takes the pizza of the stone on the grill. Just stainless stell riveted to a broom handle. BRILLIANT!

I am not exactly a chef, but trying my hardest.

That looks very nice, homemade pizza is the best
Do you know how hot the grill was?
You may want to take a look at this page http://www.varasanos.com/PizzaRecipe.htm
info on hacking your oven to get over 800 degrees for New York style pizza.

The pizza looks very good, but...

Do you think you could have sprung for some decent whole milk mozzarella instead of using Wal Mart part skim cheese?

So why do the pics all have "06/01/2006" on them?

Either he kept them in the oven a LONG time or his camera clock is wrong...I caught that too! Hey, give Tom a break, when I was in college it was Domino's (delivered to the dorm) at $4 for a small/$6 large...we lived on that stuff...yuk .

whole milk? you mean buffalo milk.
has to be made from water buffalo milk, and most just ain't.. the flavour of real mozarella (which is hard to find outside italy, you gotta go to real specialty shops) is in a league of it's own

Mozzarella di bufala campana > the real stuff, even better if "affumicata" (smoked)

mozzarella fiordilatte > the cow stuff for supermarkets
