DirecTV to U-Verse
Has anyone done the DirecTV to U-Verse switch?
I am thinking about switching to save some money. I heard some complaints that the picture quality isn't as good in HDTV. How do you guys like it? I know ATT is going to go to resell Directv next year, but I want to start weighing my options. Thanks, Neil |
Not familiar with U-verse. I've been on Verizon's Triple Freedom plan for a few years. Not as much cost savings as at first, but still knocks a couple hundred off yearly. Saved almost $400 the first year. Same stuff, just billed from Verizon. No brainer...

I've got Uverse...i pay $79 a month for the U200 and Internet package. No contract required. In a year, I've never had an "outage," like i used to get with Dish when convective weather rolled in.
The remote response is slower than dish, but that's my only complaint. |
U-Verse recently became available in my neighborhood. My wife and I were interested in it because of the Internet. We currently have both directv and comcast cable. We have the directv for the tv portion of things and we have comcast cable because it gets us cheaper cable modem services.
We brought the U-Verse into our house because we were tired of the comcast cable internet gouging. Doing back to back testing, same computer, same position, wireless connection, the U-Verse proved to be twice as fast as comcast and about 1/2 the price. The TV portion of U-Verse is terrible. Steve |
My friend has U-Verse and his HD pic quality is nowhere near the quality from my OTA antenna.
