Who's a Bowhunter or Archer ?

To cold to to shoot out side any more. We are luck to have a nice Yard 3D range. Who else enjoys archery?

Bowhunter / Archer here.

Too cold to shoot outside? No way:-D Of course, it's probably a bit warmer here in KY, but I shoot outdoors all winter in IL.

What kinda bow do you shoot? I shoot a Mathews Switchback @ 26" and 60#.

right on!

i have a 28" switchback XT. 70 lbs bow that i scaled down to 63. love it. it is getting older, but i will stay with it. too easy to buy the latest and greatest with archery stuff. i want to upgrade to a spot hogg, seven deadly pins with wraps. but that is a $300 sight. jagged little pill.

Traditional archer. Just a basic Fred Bear Montana long bow. I can hit the side of a barn when standing in it. Still have an archery deer tag to fill this year. I have been an archer for a couple of years now - unfortunately I don't get out enough even though it is never too cold here! Last year I took a wild boar with my longbow.

yep been into it since my boy scout archery merit badge. have a pse and somewhere in hell is my old bear bow. elk hunting buddy going first time javelina hunting where i nailed a 57 pounder with (3) .308's and (2) .357's. very nasty all teeth and arsehole pig that didnt want to die.

have flung arrows at pig close enough to smell the pod........missed.

have flung arrows at deer...........missed.

full camo facepaint and full camo suit with scent had fawn and momma deer sit down no less than 3 feet away from me for 20 minutes unaware i was behind bush until i had leg cramp and moved and they split. best upclose hunting experience ever.

have shot trout carp catfish with bow. hell of alot of fun.

take all bow hunting tricks into field for rifle/pistol hunts. sneaky is better.

im crap at it but still have fun.

I got within 15 feet of a spike buck that wasn't legal. Was a real rush even though I had to let it go. The rush was almost as good as the pig I stuck with an arrow which decided to charge me in return. I will try for a pig again this spring with the long bow. This time it will be in a gun zone, so I will be able to take a side arm, just in case ...

George
