My sisters family is too friggin big to buy gifts for

Add up the "blended" familys, new offspring, that totals 15+people.
I have one kid.
I refuse to buy for this zoo. They don't appreciate anything anyway.
What do you all do? Draw a name each year?
I am making a donation on the zoo's behalf.

ouch! that is a big family. even movie gift cards would set you back $150.

none of my siblings have kids. we call each other for the holidays... no gifts.

My sister has a blended family of 8. We send them a family gift, $50.00 or less every year, usually a White House Christmas Tree Ornament or a gift basket of assorted whatever.

The one nephew I like gets a little more, you know, for the effort. Great kid...it is strictly between us, has been for the last 15 years. He graduated from Davidson College in Greenville, SC and is also very close to my son.

Good kayaker as well...I took him on his first float when he was 11

We have a big group, too. We draw names. That way, you can buy a single gift and make it a nice one. I don't mind spending $100-$200 on my brother-in-law because I'm avoiding about a dozen other gifts. Plus, I can get him something really nice instead of a cheap afterthought. Last year I bought my BIL a Garmin GPS. Somehow I drew his name again this year and he's getting cordless power tools.

In our family (25+) - the adults draw names ($100-200 max) and we buy for all the kids.

No gifts for any outiside the immediate family. Used to do it for the inlaws kids, but not since they reached age 18.

My "Gift" to my BILs and SILs is that I provide sole care for THEIR mother, who they don't do squat for, nor stay in touch with.

We also have a large family; we pull names for the adults but wife and I are suckers for the kids so we buy them all something
