Driveline Vibration

You know, I can immediately tell from the steering when I have one tire that is a pound low on air...

Quote:

Driveline Vibration Issue - Possible Root Cause
This guy ran over a mattress and decided to keep going. The ensuing jumble finally whipped around enough to put a tear in the gas tank, the subsequent lack of fuel is what finally brought this vehicle to its knees.
It had still managed to drive 30 more miles decently with a 60lb tangle wrapped around the driveshaft.
This genius complained that the vehicle had a "shimmy" when driving it high speeds.

This is what the dealership found..............

Why are they all wearing funny sunglasses?

Nice. Some folks just shouldn't be driving. Anyone that drove that in that shape, shouldn't be driving.

cripes, when people say " I just spit coffee on my keyboard" I kinda wonder if they're speaking figuratively. I just did, for real. What a mess. On my shirt too

Might depend on the car. The Boxster will tell me at about 3-4 lbs. I don't know about one lb., but I'll bet there are some cars with some tires....

I'll say this, I'd notice the power loss while that DS was winding up the steel, not to mention the noise. What an idiot.

1 lb in 1 tire?

Maybe a F1 car. With Michael Schumacher behind the wheel. (Maybe).
