Perhaps the slowest drifting ever recorded

We got some snow last night so after the parking lot behind my house was plowed I took the 944 over for a little drifting fun..
Well.. I still have my well worn Pilot summer tires on so traction was not very good..Even the LSD couldn't help me very much with acceleration..

Some very slow drifting video to laugh at.. (at least you can see the snub nose conversion pretty well)

Hold On Tight

I guess tire wear wouldn't be an issue, nor would heat cycling?

LOL looks like a blast. Smooooth

One question tho and no offense, but do you have a hole in the side of your muffler?
It might just be the video but the exhaust note sounds a bit funky.

I know it's not thrilling LOL.. I was a little disappointed with how little traction these Michelins have in the snow..

As for the muffler, it definately sounds louder than the last 2 994's I had.. the exhaust is "new".. it was just put on the car before I bought it and it has the correct 944.xxx.xxx.xxx part number on a sticker on the muffler but it is not quiet enough to be a OEM part..

I'd actually like to change it to a stock sounding exhaust at some point..

Speedracing944's car sounds like that. He opened up the muffler and removed the baffles...

On the snub nose..

The holes for the bumper pads and front plate bracket were filled with a fiberglass compound and sanded smooth.. then a skim coat of body filler was put on and sanded glass smooth.

The shocks are easy to drill.. just drill in 2 places on each one.. it's easier to drain them that way. They are slightly pressurized, so do them outside, not on the kitchen table

Overall, it's a very easy job~
