I did not acheive a 4.0 in my studies over the course of the year. It seems I must blow off one exam and wind up with a B in the class as a result. Next year will be different.

I could have done more on the designs and molds for Carrera stuff. Seems like last year I did a lot more. This year was so freakin' hot for weeks and months on end that I just did not do as much.

I was asked to do a TV spot for a friend. It was one of those "Ask the Doctor" programs that airs on local cable and probably has a total viewership of 10 or 11 desperately bored people. They gave me a CD of the program and it sat on the counter for a month before I threw it away. Even my wife and kids couldn't bear to watch it. I don't blame them.

Anyway, there was some big awards banquet that I was invited to (I skipped it) and somehow I won a Telly award. It must be a mistake, because the show was awful. Really. Maybe it's the Special Olympics of Broadcasting award. Who knows.

It's a beautiful statuette made in the same foundry that makes the Oscar awards. It certainly doesn't represent any kind of real achievement. It really means nothing to me. I'm currently using it as a doorstop.

Lose the base and make it into a hood ornament. Oh wait, that would be an accomplishment. Never mind.

I did the first one about 8 months ago. My boots were not worn in and my big toe nails fell off! They are almost back to normal .

For that second one, get a Samsung. They makes the best LCD Monitors and TV's.

I contributed about $1,200 to John McCain's campaign and probably $500 to various other Republican entities. I voted against Al Franken - twice. I did not pick up any new national clients. I did not score on a huge contingency fee case (or any contingency fee case, if I recall correctly). I failed to install the leather interior and Euor Premuffler I bought at great expense two years ago. I did not have my 915 rebuilt. I didn't even get my oil changed and I failed to drivre much this summer. I, however, remain a terrifically efficient device for converting oxygen into carbon dioxide, an endeavor to which I intend to devote most of my 2009, so not all is lost.

Didn't get the fence stained....it's a big yard!
Didn't paint the powder room...last room on the main floor to paint after 4 years of being here.
Didn't get into the advanced group in PCA DE.
Spent too much time online after trying to cut back.

My accomplishments list is much longer, but I'm never happy with that.

I didn't wash my car as much as I wanted to. It deserves to be shiny every day.

I wanted to start a business this year, and didn't.

I don't regret it, I think it was a good financial move. But I'm turning 40 next year, and I want this one checked off the 'bucket list'. I want to officially be my own boss. I'm an arrogant SOB, and I'm curious to see if I really have the business chops I think I have.
