Personal Accomplishments/Memorable Moments for 2008
My wife and I were talking last night about our accomplishments and memorable moments of 2008 of my big ones were:
Getting Married Making it back all in one piece from Iraq (again) Finishing Undergraduate Degree Passing Security + certification Taking my wife to Jamaica for her birthday Getting back in contact with my Mom Taking my wife to her first hockey game Getting back on 2 wheels Hosting a kick ass Halloween party All in all it has been a pretty good year. mine pales in comparison....i wrote and developed the courseware for an airline indoctrination program for my pilots, and had it approved by the FAA on the first go. our POI is a real ballbuster, so that felt damn good.
my reward was more work.

I got hitched to a woman who not only encourages my car addiction but wants me to buy that 911 I've always wanted. I'm still not sure if this is a set-up...

- sued the feds & won a very difficult case which also protected habitat for an endangered species
- moved oven and fridge to different palce in kitchen; freed up add'l space & moved door to garage over to make room; replaced ugly old door with firesafe pretty wooden door - fence repairs - stained deck; stained or painted ugly PT wood supports - built very large bamboo planters tro screen out an obnoxious old woman neighbor - not finished on that one - dug holes/planted 6 trees and 2 bushes in back yard -- am now waiting for trees to get big enuff to shade the house in summer... - dealt with flood from busted toilet supply line & lousy contractor.... - fixed - after much labor - lousy trans. that a lying, cheatin' SOB ripped me off on... prepared to sue his a$$ - finally got clutch actuation working on oddball trans. install in car - repaired crazed R bumper install that the painter had rigged up on car; compared various reasonable ways to mount bumper & chose easies & most wt. savings way to do it * the above two have threads on them for the curious - addressed sleep apnea medical problem [still in progress] - forced self to do recovery exercises for a serious hand trauma event seems like a lot but reminds of all the stuff I did not get done this year.... |

1) Got divorced, and thus finally started having sex again.
2) survived a junkie ex girlfriend 3) went to Korea and studied at Kyunghee University for a short period of time 4) bought my Porsche, which was the start of a wonderful addiction 5) did a ton of "soul searching" and growing up, and got 1 step closer to being the me that I want to be. 6) wrote and recording more music than at any other time in my life. All in all, a very eventful year, and most of it good.

Now were talkin'. No way I would pump out 18 kids with her!!! Now number one, big mistake on my part. Wish I could practice with her! She was a keeper and I was stupid! Just my humble opinion, I could be wrong.
