Question Best Cold Weather Beverage

Was thinking about glug, and figured there were probably some most outstanding cool weather beverages, my personal favorite is hot apple cider, with a shot of Tuaca in it, my sister was always partial to the cocoa with a bit of Rumpleminz.

Anyone else have any favorites they would care to share?

Unfiltered apple juice heated on the stove with a cinnamon stick, then add a shot of Wild Turkey 101 in the mug.

Hot totty (or toddy?)

You buy this mysterious looking batter in a tub, put a big scoop in a mug, pour hot water over it, add rum to taste.

Irish whiskey and a good cigar while sitting in the Jacuzzi Tub, listening to Les McCann and his "Invitation to Openess" album.

Put a finger or two of Macallan (any age) in a coffee cup; throw in a couple of whole cloves; top with boiling water; start sipping as soon as it is cool enough.

One of the few hot winter drinks that is not sweet.

The horror! If you're going to drink the The Macallan, why wreck it with other ingredients? Unless it's the 12 yo.

Best cold weather drink - The Balvenie 15 straight up. No ice, no water, no soda, no umbrellas, no nothin'.

Oh..........while Coltrane is good with apple juice, The Balvenie calls for Miles.

The cloves don't wreck it IMHO. Just give it a slightly Christmassy edge.

I love scotch (have probably five open bottles of single malts right now) but the idea of drinking any one of them with hot water sounds terrible. I don't even add water or ice when I drink them normally...
Of course I guess I can't knock it until I try it, so I will have to write back with my impression later. I guess you never know.
For tomorrow, I'm going to concentrate on my special eggnog that I make out of bourbon and ice cubes.

Hot buttered rum, that is #2 for me

Cloves and scotch, I guess it would make it festive

Back in the early '60's when we'd visit my Grandparents, my Grandmother would warm up Dr. Pepper and put a stick of cinnamon in it. It was a rather strange taste, but it became a Christmas tradition.
