how long until testoterone wears down after neutering?
 

ok neutering an older dog. how long till the juice wears down? do you think and older dog will taper down on the territorial marking?

It's been over 20 years since my vasectomy and I'm going strong!!!! I don't mark the territory much anymore however LOL

I think most of that is habitual that's why they say to neuter them early..It may never go away..

How long would it take you if someone chopped off your balls? That's why you do it EARLY....

Vash - We had our late great Jake the Wonderdog (Black Lab) neutered at about age 8. His testosterone fueled activity (humping pillows, balling up and humping blankets and comforters), ceased almost immediately. He was much better company and a lot more laid back. Unfortunately, he developed a malignant melanoma in his jaw and had to be put down. His cancer was in no way related to the neutering.

If he stopped licking his ball after being neutered, maybe ball licking prevent cancer in dog mouth and that is why dog like to lick their balls.

My brother offers testicle implants for dogs he neuters. Many owners of large dogs opt for them. Uses silicone super balls that he runs through his autoclave. FWIW.:D
