Shelf Life Of Liquor
Cleaning out the cabinet for a party tomorrow and I ran across several bottles of opened liquor 3-4 years old. The liquor in question is Gin, Rum,and Bourbon and all are 3/4 the way full. Are these still good? I realize this is alcohol abuse.....;)

I think the same rules apply as skunked beer. It becomes guest liquor.

Old spirits are fine stored in the original bottle.

I just don't want to make anyone ill with bad stuff. Unless they just plain drink too much and then it's just not my fault. |
So sorry to hear that. Just box it up and put it on the porch and I will be right over to take that off your hands.

Not a problem at all.
Should be good. |
Still good, only exceptions would be cream based liquors (baileys etc)
|
Gin, Rum, Bourbon? All have a shelf life of about 2 days in my house.....
|
Just consider it 3-4 years more aged then went you bought it and you saved yourself some money!!!!!
|
Too bad it doesnt work that way.
Drink it, it's fine. |
distilled spirits have a shelf life of forever

As stated, with Baileys I'd be concerned. With what you listed, there shouldn't be a problem. |
we where given a few bottles with the TAX stamp tape over the top! 1980's?
tasted fine! |
Yep, forever...
|
If you're worried about it, just buy some Kool-Aid and a clean five-gallon bucket. INSTANT PARTY.
