Sweet, what does it have in it?
Hawt!
302 under the hood and some elbow grease and it will be a nice little rod.
Nice, yeah what is under he hood?
Still has the 6cyl in in. But I have a 351 sittin in the garage, so I Had to get something to put it in.;)

Good looking car! |
LOL a six banger with that hood!
I had a 64 Merc. comet station wagon with the 6 and it moved along pretty good stock. |

DAMN... I hate when that happens. Looks like a future Barrett-Jackson millionaire in our midst. |
Nice Pick up a toploader or c6 throw in a 9" rear and heavy duty coil springs. Is the 351 a cleveland? Sounds like a nice project. Thanks again for the fender you sold me.
Cool project. This would be a good look

When I saw that scoop, I thought "Thunderbolt"! Hey make a Mercury version. It would really be cool to shorten the wheelbase/fab a nice rear tub/move the wheel wells forward. Nice find!
Still not sure which way I want to go with it. I first saw the car for sale back in the spring. Right away, I said I gotta have that!
Good chance I'm gonna make a "Gasser" out of it. That was my plan from the start, but I'm definately not going to chop it up. I want to keep the body stock. The interior is hurting. Seats are shot, floorpan has a little rot in one spot. Dash is in mint condition though. Everything works. Nice having a metal dash again! Cant remember last time I drove a car with a linear speedo! |

Damn. Now you've got me thinking about that dusty little '66 Mustang with two flat tires the old lady around the corner has.
That HM Fairlane is sweet! Its a '64, totally street legal too!
Not sure what type of exhaust work with the car if you drop a 351W in it. I have heard of people using headers for a 351W in a 65/66 Mustang, but shorty headers will be easiest route. Good luck on your new toy!
Just curious.... check the VIN number to see if the car came from the factory with a 6 cyl or V-8. It was a factory 6 cyl, someone converted the front and rear from the factory 6 cyl 4-bolt lugs on the front and rear to a 5-bolt. |
Yeah thats the first thing I thought when I saw the 5 lug wheels. The guy I got it from, didnt know too much history of the car.
Good catch GT350Mike, I was going to say something about the five lugs. The rear is pretty easy to change, the front is another story.
I still have the 6cyl in my '66 Mustang, of course, its running an Offy 3x1 intake using 3 webers. Its a pretty peppy little car... Bill |
