The link provides a zip file to be downloaded. What are the odds that this is some malware?
I'm betting 100%

My mother (72yo) would and DOES. I've replaced more than a couple computers because she doesn't understand how these things work.

slodave 01-04-2009 06:51 PM

What does she do, that you need to replace the entire computer? Maybe she's not ready for one?!?

Taking her computer away would be the same as taking her drivers license. I'm not real good at removing spyware and virus' so I just get her a new computer when it happens and recycle the old one.

System Restore allows you to reset you system back to a time before the virus attack.

Just run the system in safe mode and click on start, programs, accessories, system tools, system restore.

Pick a date to restore the system prior to the virus attack.
