Gangs

It is going to get worse, I heard today that our military is predicting the total collapse of Mexico, much like what has happened in Columbia.

My one question to all of you in countries where there are "no guns allowed". What are you going to do when the Muslims take over your country and your army and police force can't stop them. This time is coming all you have to do is listen to what they say. I agree there are probably some Muslims that don't go along with this but they are not the ones running the show.

Did the Muslims invade the United States or did the United States invade a Muslim's Country?

Who are the inner city kids? If you live in Chicago the inner city is pretty much middle class and upper class, ask Da Mayor.

Is this the same group of people who said Iraq had WMD and didn't have any ideas of the upcoming 911 attacks?

Don't be cute. It's generally not the affluent kids that need the protection of a gang.

Muslims

They killed 3000 of our citizens when they destroyed the World Trade Center buildings. I guess you don't call 20 tons of yellow cake uranium suitable for making "dirty bombs" a MWD. I realize the propaganda machine you call Journalists didn't call it that but that doesn't make it so.

I've read back in history as far as I can, say about 6000 years and guess what? People were killing each other then too. Nothing has changed. nothing. We (us human types) are violent, murderous animals. we kill. The only thing that can change that would be a whole bunch of nukes or one really, really big asteroid (or 2012 if you ask the tin foil types).

Expecting people to stop being violent and to stop killing each other is about as realistic as expecting people to stop being people.
Some people are more likely to kill than others, but the killing ain't gonna stop as long as we parasitic monsters roam the earth.

The best we can do is to try and make the people who have a stronger tendency to kill stay away. As in close the borders, kick out all the immigrant gang members, and throw the rest in jail.
That aint gonna happen either because it might upset some lefty.

Agreed Sammy.

After the machines kill us all we will have no more problems with murder and gangs.

what utter BULL. get an education.
the vast majority of immigrants are law abiding people. hard working. whether they have a right to be here is another issue all together.

getting killers to stop killing is as easy as taking away their merchandise, DRUGS. but that aint gonna happen either because it might upset some tight azz righty who is afraid of reefer madness

i hesitate greatly to advise anyone to turn to the television for an education but, it wouldnt hurt to watch The Wire...all of the seasons. in the case of this particular production, art imitates life with precision and a brutal honesty that is not only extremely entertaining, but shockingly educational and frightening

That aint gonna happen cause the LEO industry would lose BILLIONS of dollars and thousands (perhaps tens of thousands) of cops and beaurocrats would lose their jobs.

As sick and perverted as it is, it's those that 'protect us' who gain the most from this whole damn disaster of a "war on drugs".

I believe you are right to a large extent. There are always ways of hurting people, even with a strict gun law. I still think part of it is due to access. Same with drugs. If cocaine was an over the counter drug with a cheap price, I believe more people would use it. Generally speaking.

But culture, tradition, socio-economic factors and such have a tremendous impact.

i know. this is the problem. drugs aint gonna be legal in this country, at least not the valuable ones like heroin, and the demand for heroin is never gonna go down...so, it is what it is. this epidemic in this country is here to stay

Porsche-O-Phile 01-15-2009 07:49 AM

Thank you Ronald Reagan and the "moral majority" of the 1980s for putting us on this idiotic, socialist law-enforcement pseudo-moralistic crusade.

The government doesn't dare back off their "war on drugs" stance now lest they give the appearance of backpedaling or admit being wrong before. Those are evidently worse sins than continuing to p1ss away untold billions of taxpayer money every year.

Actually if you watch Jane Goodall's documentary's (yes I know technical she doesn't study monkeys)

Primates in the jungle DO kill each other for no good reason.

And if we want to stop the gang problem we have to stop punishing the police for succeeding at controlling the problem. The police create a gang unit, they crack down on the gangs, the problem starts to go away, so they cut funding and shut down the gang task-force.

Man Arrested In Shooting Death Of 4-Year-Old Boy
The Los Angeles Police Department has arrested a suspect in the murder of a 4-year-old boy who died in the crossfire of an apparent gang-related shooting.
Police announced Friday that officers had arrested 25-five-year-old Howard Astorga, a felon who previously has served prison time for narcotics, gun and other offenses.
Roberto Lopez Jr. was shot Tuesday near his home in the Echo Park neighborhood west of downtown.
Several shots were fired from about 100 yards away and the boy died after being hit once in the upper torso.
Police say occupants of a car were involved in a confrontation with people standing on the street.
The bullet that hit Roberto likely was intended for someone in the car
