Engineers and construction guys... geeks too
I found a few film pictures of a project I was involved with in 1995? (crs is setting in)
We re decked the Willamsburg Bridge. all outer pork chops (floorbeams) were replaced, and an Orthotropic deck system was installed. What do you do when the lifting gantry has to be moved onto the other side of one of the towers? spend a week breaking it down moving it, re-assembling it? Nope... Get a big crane Pick it up: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1232158467.jpg Swing it around: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1232158526.jpg Land it on the other side of the tower: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1232158553.jpg repeat 4 times...beat the clock, and get a nice incentive ;) |

Vash I think you are involved in some sort of orthotropic deck install or retofit....
I've been doing these bridge things for 30 years... the welding can get tricky between panels... please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any probs.... free advice ;) |
OBG sucks! Tower is better. ;)
