That Lancia was on Bring a Trailer. It's cool, and I want a Lancia, but not that particular one.

I don't know. The auction site looks like a repo/clearance site, rather than an enthusiast site. With the attention a mention on BaT brings, I don't think anybody's gonna steal these things.
Is this place near you?

You don't need to worry about me bidding

But seriously, anything odd or unique seems to go crazy high at Miedema anyway.

That 356 must be something special that I don't recognise, it looks like $300 worth of scrap metal to me. Either that or prices on these went meteoric while I wasn't looking. $24k bought a nice, dry, "driver quality" 356 coupe last time I checked.

Its a very good candidate for resto, not too far gone, and it is a Pre-A.

Bent-windsheild pre-a coupe

But yeah, I remember 4-5 years ago there were a couple tatty "driver" quality 356B coupes that seemed to be constantly cycling on ebay for ~15k.

I love 356 coupes, even more than the cabrios.

It would be interesting to know the history on that car. I wonder if those vent slits behind the front wheel well were meant to let air out of the wheel wells, or bring air into the cockpit.

I'd say that's way too much for 914-6. They're cool cars but never caught on in a big way, not when new or ever since. They're not exactly fast. $20k+ should buy an original mint one with no issues.

BTW, if you think I'm opinionated about politics, don't get me started on cars.

914's are cool and I like them, but I'd take a kit car speedster over one.

Lancia sold at $7675; BMW sold at $6025. Both were 'well-used'. Probably OK deals, but who knows what anything is worth in today's market.
