I usually decide what to make when it's time to start cooking.

My mom always planned the week in advance and I think it drove me to do the opposite.

We're going to our favorite Italian restaurant this evening (actually owned by two old-country Italian brothers.)

Level Vodka martini (for me)
Pinot Noir (for her)
Strachatella soup (spinach/egg drop)
dinner salad with cream garlic dressing, actually made with freshly pressed garlic cloves
Oysters Rockefeller
whatever white wine wifey chooses with dinner
Chilean Sea Bass
Baked Alaska
Espresso
A quick stop at the cardiologist on the way home for a possible angioplasty

Steve

I'm making a salad of field greens, sliced pears, walnuts, dried cranberries, gorgonzola, celery, shredded carrot and grilled chicken, with a balsamic vinaigrette.

I must be a homo. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
