HELP!Lost bookmarks .. gone for ever?

Hello, I changed from ATT to Comcast(both use Yahoo)in Nov.
I switched all emails and bookmarks at that time.

The ATT account stayed open until last week. When it ended, my bookmarks on the new account went away.
There were times when I logged onto the old account(because I was still receiving emails on that acct.) but I dont remember switching my bookmarks back to the old acct.

I'm told that there gone forever, is there anyway to retrieve them?

Thanks,
Bryan

I'm not IT guy, but there should be a copy in your computer somewhere buried deep. I've been there maybe once. Computers don't erase things very well.

I don't know where or if your previous browser backed up favorires, but, in IE with XP you can usually find them backed up in:

My Computer
Local Disk:C
Documents/Settings Folder
Your User Name Folder
Favorites

The process is slightly different with IE in Vista, where you can just open your user name account from the right hand side of the start menu and a Favorites file folder is there.

Try this

start|settings|file or folder

Search for favorites* , this assumes you were using IE

Make sure you search the entire computer and all drives.
