Starting a Grille badge collection.

After much debating about what to do with my recent badge purchase I have decided that I will start a small collection. I was thinking of getting a grille off an early 911. Chrome preferably. And put the badges on it and display it proudly in my room or garage. In my livingroom when I get my own place but I digress. How much would a grille like that cost? Also if anybody has any neat badges they dont want I would gladly pay a little for them or trade ya some 944 parts.

TIA

Get a 356 C or B T-5 engine lid and mount it. Double the grilling area!

Lots of cool old badges available, never really seen any on 911s (but I've only been up close and personal with a few over the years..... )

I sold one(black, off an 82 SC) a few years ago for $75 + shipping..

First badge came in the mail today. Now I just need to find a grille to put it on.

Ok any suggestions? While I would love a nice large one off a 356 or a 911 I cant particularly afford the 100bucks that it takes to buy one and it would take me forever to fill it. Anybody know where I could find a nice aluminum or chrome trimmed grille that is like 10" by 20"

Ok. How hard would it be to shorten one of those. I have literally an endless multitude of tools at my disposal.

Wouldn't even be worth cracking open a beer. Very easy.

You could also place a WTB add in the classifieds, something along the lines of "looking for a damaged rear deck lid grill. Aluminum or plastic, looking to spend X."

Ya thats what I was thinking about doing after seeing your post. May also keep a running ticker looking for neat badges. I will have to make this look neat so my room-mate doesnt ***** about it on the living room wall.
