OK, so we need to keep a weekly thread going with each new episode.

I for one was blown away by Charles Whidmore being on the island in the 50's. Thats makes ALOT of things clearer as far as why he is trying to find it.

What about the girl with the gun? Farradys mother? Same girl Desmond is trying to find in present time? Or could she be Penelopes mother with Charles? hmmmm....

I think that we've already met Faraday's mother...and so has Desmond.

Now, I'll admit that I was reminded of this certain character from a fan-blog, but as soon as they mentioned her, It seemed perfectly clear that she would turn out to be the Mother. She was in 1 episode, in the "real world", not on the island.

yes, they met in the 'present', but what about the girl in the 'past'? Same girl?

Why else would Whidmore be financing Farradys work?

Faraday's mother is the old woman doing maths in LA at the end of the 1st episode of the season (who we also met during one of Desmond's time-traveling incidents). I have a theory that she's ALSO the blonde chick who took Faraday to the H-bomb in the previous episode. You read it here first, folks!

I like how they show the previous weeks episode early with the "pop up video" sytle text that tells me WTF is going on. I also pick up things that I missed when it airs - yes sometimes all that time jumping gets me screwed up. :)

Didn't you watch last year when Desmond had nosebleeds that killed the ships radioman & the rat at Farraday's lab due to not having a "constant" in the time travel?
