Hey Swedes: Anyone know about Max Burgers?
Just curious because I met the owner Curt & his wife in Fort Lauderdale at a dealer event that I attended. He said he owned a burger chain - I thought he said 6 stores but the website appears to have a few more than that. He said that they successfully battle McDonalds in Sweden.

He most likely owns 6 of the franchises. Looks like a fun place. I can't imagine Mickeys is even competition to anything decent.
In the US, it's the war of the worst. I mean in what country other than here do they legislate to bring the food up to a modicum of nutritional value? (Sorry to start a hijack) |

No, a little web searching & he was the man. His sons run the company now. They have a house in Key Biscayne for the winter months. The wife was very attractive & all business. The dollar figures for the equipment that they were looking at were not small.

Ian, there is one Max Burger in the town were I work. Best tasting burgers around IMO. The restaurant is as boring as any other however. They based they PR on a claim that they only use pure Swedish beef and the poster had a pretty Indian girl..

I was wondering when you would post, Livi. I assumed that you knew of them. I hope that they buy some of my speakers. The BIG ones.
 They have obviously done very well for themselves. You always meet the strangest people in South Florida. Ian

No, she started off brusque & demanding but she warmed up after a few demos. In a buying situation, you always watch the wife for cues. My dealer got an appointment for Monday so I guess we did the dance well. He needs the business (and so do I).
Another customer (driving a Maybach no less - he left his CGT at home) complained that our big speakers would block his Picasso . . . we offered to move it . . . oh, the problems of the idle rich . . . Ian
