What kind of bills are those?

Aerkuld 02-04-2009 06:21 AM

Benjamins?

I reckon I could fit that in my garage. Bring it over we'll see if I'm right.

masraum 02-04-2009 06:25 AM

Oh yeah, you've heard of those folks that never through anything out and die when they are trapped by a pile of garbage that's collapsed on top of them in their own house? I'd risk that.

Money can't buy happiness, but it can buy pretty much everything else, and would go a long way towards making it easier to be happy.

red-beard 02-04-2009 06:34 AM

I expect I could fake a good happiness for the rest of my life with that!

cgarr 02-04-2009 06:34 AM

And then they put it on junk pallets:rolleyes:

Porsche-O-Phile 02-04-2009 06:38 AM

I'm still unclear on the value. Can you express it in terms of hookers and blow?

widebody911 02-04-2009 06:43 AM

They must have taken those pix just before they shipped it to Iraq

$300/hooker = about 3 million times.

At $4000/hooker (Spitzer) = 250,000 times

Those are European dim. pallets, looks like they might be heat treated too. It should be on four ways. That load will fit on a 24 footer.

Is that enough money for a bank employee party in Vegas and have enough left to redecorate the CEO's office?

It's enough for one or the other, but not both.

"They say that money can't buy you love in this world...
But it'll get you a half pound of cocaine and a 16-year old girl...
A great big long limousine on a hot September night...
Now that might not be love, but honey....it's alright"

I was hoping for pics. Or better still, samples.

red-beard 02-04-2009 09:34 AM

Am I your pimp? ;)

You saved me from searching all over the forum for that picture, thank you.:D

The photos

I found it here.

http://sites.google.com/site/artmarcovici/

According to the site, it is $1 Billion Dollars stacked on 12 pallets, all together 10 million 100 USD notes.

They claim it is the most expensive piece of art ever made.

competentone 02-05-2009 09:25 PM

One billion dollars?!

Ha! That's nothing.

The Federal Reserve has been "printing" more than 5 times that much every day for the past year....

....and giving it to the criminals on Wall Street so that they can hide the fact that they've been running fraud schemes hundreds of times larger than something like Madoff's scam.

pwd72s 02-05-2009 10:29 PM

The bailout/stimulus/pork package is nearing one TRILLION...

Porsche-O-Phile 02-05-2009 10:37 PM

Here's $1.2T for ya...

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1233905761.jpg

Each stack is 125 feet wide, 200 feet deep, and 450 feet tall.

450 feet is the height of a 38-story building. It's the hieght of the Millenium Wheel
in London. It is also the height of the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas and the
Louisiana State Capitol Building.

1 million one dollar bills weighs 2.75 tons.
1 trillion 260 billion one dollar bills weighs 3 trillion 465 billion tons.
