i was just walking down the sidewalk, in the freezing cold and this fat, old and frazzled looking sparrow was just standing there sqeeking. it looked up at me and just fell over sideways dead :confused:

mad me sad and ruined my evening

That would ruin my day as well. Funny, you don't see wild animals die often, I guess they go off under a bush or something. I suppose many get eaten once they become too slow to escape.

I have seen dazed and dying pigeons that look to have been poisoned. Maybe this fella ate some of that stuff..
