asphaltgambler 02-12-2009 11:46 AM

No...................not hot at all; basically an older, thin biker chick.

Here's a pic of the criminal at large.................................http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1234471590.jpg

I'd say the Fed Ex lady is very trusting. You say the dog "had his shots." If the dog had rabbis, bit her and broke the skin, she would have huge problems and tangentially, so would you.

You can check for rabbis in an animal two ways, either quarantine for about two weeks and see if the animal dies, then examine it's brain tissue, or euthanize the dog immediately and examine the tissue. Most county health officials can quarantine your dog by law. It's a public safety thing and your defense of "my dog had his shots" rings kind of hollow if it all goes sour, like "I didn't know the gun was loaded."

I had a chow. Who bit. Cost me about a grand.

Is yours a pure bred chow? Have you had him checked by a vet? Mine needed to be on thyroid medication, no kidding, or she was a bite risk. I suggest looking into that, make sure your vet is discreet.

Don't trust your dog in any similar situation again. And do not continue being a jerk, pay her entire ER bill ASAP.

Roscoe (my dog) is current on all shots / meds.............................we keep a close eye on his over-all health on a daily basis because he is a family member. Yes he is pure Chow-Chow and that's the only breed I've ever owned since I was 20. I'm now nudging the big 5-0

I do not think that paying or not paying the entire bill makes me a 'jerk'. I asked her what she considered fair conpensation and that was it.
Let me also add that my shop services' her Fed-Ex truck on a regular basis; so we do know each other.

on a different note how are you liking that floor coating? is it the U Coat It stuff?

do you wrench on your car in there or elsewhere? i am forever crapping up my garage floor (por15, brake fluid, oil (duh!), etc) and wouldn't mind a nice coating. just can't get my act together to actually do the job.

She's a nice person and you're taking advantage of it. Unless you have some reason to believe that the bite was partly her fault, you should pay the entire bill.

I did use U-coat-it and found that the product was all that is advertised. I did the 'system' where there is a primer, base coat (color) then the 'flecks' were added along with aluminum oxide (to prevent slipage), and finally the top coat (clear)

The only real problem was with the packing and shipping. Some of the top coat had leaked out of the container and needed replaced. Then they sent another can but it was damaged too. So said company started singing a different tune (as in: not being helpful) there was some friction because they felt that it was not their issue to replace with a third can.

Since my garage is slightly oversize I spent almost $600.00 on the products. Only after a threat of doing a charge-back on CC did they send the third. I would still use them again and reccommend the coating.

I do work sometimes in there but vehicle tires will definitely leave a "place" if left sitting for a while

I picked it up at Loews. Did not get the "kit" with etcher, paint and flecks in it already. Found it was cheaper to buy the etcher and paint in larger sizes individually. Have a 3 car garage so would have needed 3 kits. Individually it cost 2/3rds for the same yeild.

I opted to leave the flakes out.

Took an afternoon to do.
