NY is ok where i live. Has all 4 seasons and winters are very bad. Jan & Feb is the worst.

The pic is from Lake Havasu Arizona last June. Does anyone know what happens to that desert area in the winter?

It's not too cold in the desert in the winter. Today we had heavy rain and even hail. But that's rare. It was in the high 70's and low 80's here last week.

Cold and snow and rain and cold builds character. And an appreciation for nice weather. If you are under 70 y.o., stop your complaining.

True, but I've had enough of it at the tender age of 37. I just don't see the point in living in weather you don't like. I don't like the cold. I've seen and done it all, growing up in cold weather states and only leaving that region less than a year ago. I never want to return. I got a nice taste of the cold in China a few weeks ago, where it's rare to even have heat in the buildings. That will last me plenty.

One of the worst slogans I ever heard is: 'There is no bad weather, just bad clothing.' What load of crap.

I'm sorry, but this post is just plain incoherent. Wanna try again? Just leave the drink alone for a while.

Yeah, you just go on believing that! Try real hard and you might convince your self of that. ;) It's cold here now, like mid 30's. I may need to use an ice scraper on the windshield in the morning. Do you know how hard it is to find an ice scraper here? Most of the autoparts stores don't carry them. Seriously! I'm not making that up.

Almost 80 today. I checked the pool temp, and it is up to 65 degrees. Actually, swimmable, but unit shrinking. It should be above 72 by early March...
