Watching some of the best pool players in the nation on live stream. 10 ball ring game about to start if you'd like to watch pool being played at a level you won't see in your local bar...unless Shane Van Boening or Johnny Archer walks in...;)

(edit) IF I had to pick a winner out of these 8 top dawgs, it would be Hennesse...he eliminated Shannon Dalton from the 9 ball tourney, 11 to 4.

I'm going to spend tomorrow watching paint dry...

Basketball is a bore...every 25 seconds a bunch of tall guys jump in the air...you don't like watching some of the best in the world play pool, don't watch.

Sorry, didn't get the code. For those who did watch...Shane VanBoening of Rapid City, South Dakota may look like he belongs in a church youth group, but he is one HELL of a pool player!

I was watch some shows on 'sharpshooters' today. Rifles, pistols, knives, bullwhips.
They included a 9-ball player. Guy could drop anything.

First he explained how he would spot the nine ball after the break, work backwards to the one, plotting every leave of the cue. Then he ran the table.
I think it was one of the guys you mentioned.

They said the world record for consecutive balls sunk is 527 or something.

Johnny Archer was in that "sharpshooters" show...he was eliminated fairly early on in the ring game I gave the link to. Literally, some of the best players in the world are in Chattanooga Tennessee right now. The 9 ball finals are tomorrow.

For all I know, they might still be streaming some of the action matchups....people playing for $$$$. Watched one last night, 9 ball, a race to 25 games won for $3K.

The tournament is for the glory...these matchups are for the money. Just checked...a couple of guys duking it out on camera...2:34 AM there.

World record for straight pool (14-1) is held by Willie Mosconi....may he rest in peace. 526 without a miss. This was in an exhibition, and it's said that he simply quit because he was tired. Straight pool isn't a popular game now, but his record stands. That's amazing shooting!
