I had a plan for limited prison size and no one seems interested. You just design your prison system for a fixed size population and that is all that get to stay there. Offenses are added up on a point system with the violent crimes getting progressively more points. When the population needs to be decreased due to overcrowding you just axe the guys with the highest point offense totals. Most likely you'll end up killing the repeat murderers, rapists, etc.

Come to think of it my plan would totally fix California's overcrowding problem while decreasing the cost to the taxpayers. Anyone got Arnold's phone number?

Sounds good, but I like Death Race better, only using school busses fully loaded

Cost cutting move by the guvenator. Don't have 57,000 mouth to feed every day. I guess all the homeless shelters, churches and missions are going to be straining to help these people. Crime will go up and they will end up back in prison.

Handle things like that Arizona Sheriff does.

Oh heck no! Let them rot in prison. Why should we feel sorry for the scum of the Earth?

We will ship all of them to your block. Maybe your teenage kid could hang out with someof them after school.

I'm for chain gangs. we have illegal aliens picking our fruits and vegatables, somethings wrong with that.

We do not have enough forrest fire fightes, somethings wrong with that.

Think how clean our walls and streets would be if we un-ass the prison population to clean, garden, fight fires etc.

My son's elementry schools yard was only mowed once a month due to budget cuts. this is BS ! Convicts could mow on the weekends so that kids wouldn't have contact.
Get off it. You are beign too harsh. They have rights too. Work, WTF is that?

Let em work it off at below min wage picking vegatables and use that money to pay back who ever they robbed or destroy. They can't go unti they finish paying the debt. No pumping iron BS so they can get stronger than the guards and the general public when they get out. They should be week and frail. Many of us here have no freaking record or trouble with the law.

That is way tooooooo practical, it might require supervision and planning which would require work for the ********* staff which is most likely against the union rules, wouldn't want a strike of the corrections officers.
