Yep, the only large county in California with a "Shall Issue" policy, and they elected a liberal sherrif. What do you expect?
Meanwhile, here in Texas, wWe're working on 3 pieces of legislation this year: 1. Expanding where CHL carry is allowed 2. Remove the requirement to notify the police that you have a firearm in the car if you are a CHL. The reason is this: carry in a car is allowed by anyone, and the laws states that you do not have to notify. The CHL law specifically requires you to notify. 3. Change the CHL to LTC, to allow open carry. |
Texas CCL
What is CHL and LTC

Quote:

CHL = Concealed Handgun License, in some places called a CCW, concealed carry weapon
LTC = Letter to Carry With LTC, you can open carry. Right now, it is actually an offense if you display your firearm. There has been discussion if "printing" is display. This has never come up in an actual court case. Texas allows open carry only on private property: your home, your business, or some place where someone allows you to open carry. |
In MI, it's "CPL", which is Concealed Pistol License... Many people incorrectly refer to it as "CCW" for Concealed Carry Weapon, but that's not correct...
