Perfect timing too, since tonight I begin the shell scripting part of the Linux class I teach and one of the things I have the students do is work with dates, date formatting, etc. including the Unix time stamp!

When it hits PST, Ken Thompson, Dennis Ritchie, Douglas McIlroy, and Joe Ossanna will all shed their skin and conform to their Binary Bionic form. Spewing 1s and 0s into the cell structures of living bodies, causing them to disintegrate on contact. All will perish.
