Presidents Day

I just received a daily email promotion from Allposters.com with a promotion for "President's Day." WTF? There is no such thing as "President's Day." It is "Presidents Day," or "Presidents' Day." It is not the day of, or for the current acting President.

Even more infuriating is a google search which repeats the error on official public school web addresses. There is no apostrophe between the "t" and the "s."

I sent allposters.com an email for correction, hopefully they will get it right next year. But how is it that schools who are supposed to be educators are so ignorant?
Our tax dollars at work.

There is no such thing as a "President's Day." Please inform your daily email editor that they have failed in their job. There is no apostrophe between t and s. It is "Presidents Day", or (Presidents' Day). You look foolish and I am not sure I would feel confident in ordering from this email promotion.

Sincerely,

Many writers believe that multiple exclamation points will indicate that the comment preceding the exclamation point was very important, very loud, or had a lot of emotion behind it. Unfortunately, this is a sign of an amateur writer, and a big tip off to editors in the publishing field that the author is probably inexperienced. We see multiple exclamation points all the time in blogs and personal writings, and I even use them on my own blogs, but multiple exclamation points are not acceptable in professional writing.

A good writer will be able to convey the additional emotion or loudness of the exclamation in their writing along with the exclamation point, and multiple exclamation points are simply not acceptable.

I'm not a good writer, and, I was trying to shout. The BBS software thwarted me. :(

Nah, that doesn't convey it. More like robot talk. How about we use red?

I am so dang outraged!

Does that adequately convey my fury? Or what if I add bold, underline, and italic? Now does it burn through your screen and sear your very soul?

I am so dang outraged!
