"Last Chance Harvey" with Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson

We saw this Sunday afternoon, and loved it. A beautifully crafted film in every way... story line, pacing, cinematography, direction, and masterful performances by Hoffman and Thompson.

If you love film, you will be able to appreciate it regardless of your age, but if you're 45 or above, it will have even more meaning for you.

It's not a chick flick... don't let anyone try to put that moniker on it, but there are no explosions or car chases... no gunfire... if you require any of that, don't bother.

But if you'd like to see two great artists in amazing performances in a great, but slightly-off-the-beaten-path movie, see it on the big screen if you can... I think it opened only 3-4 weeks ago, but it had left all but one theatre around here.
