What a great day

I don't play much golf anymore, but I had the chance to meet up with an ole buddy whom I played with way back when on the highschool team. I hadn't seen nor heard from him in over 15 years, until two weeks ago. We teed it up today.

Talk about good times.

My game has gotten worse, and the short game is the first to go, which is evident when counting how many 3 putts I had today. I hadn't hit a ball since last May, and I had nothing in the tank, it was pathetic score wise, guessing 85? I definitely need to sharpen my skills around the green. However, the long irons and woods were damn solid. The ball was getting absolutely hammered.

On 14 holes, there was a need for a big stick off the tee. I hit three 1 irons, two 2 irons, one three wood, and 8 drivers. That's a lot of drivers for me, on any golf course. I couldn't help myself though. One of the 1 irons rolled off the back of a 301 yard par 4. The 3 wood measured out at 352, and the good drivers were 358, 311, 310, 345, and 360 right down the pipe. The others, which matter just as much, were not where you'd like them though.

What a fine day with a Titleist Pro v1, a set of sticks, and good company. The weather was pretty nice too. I hope you guys had as much fun as I did today.
