Trash?
So, Cindy & I pull into the local dump, 4 trash cans in the back of the old Dodge.
Girl comes out of the shelter of her little booth and says: "Trash??" I respond: "Naw, we're here to play pool and have a couple of beers." True story...she was asking if we were recycle only, which is free. But what a dumb way to ask... |
Not so dumb...she didn't have a clue what was in those cans. Coulda been beer cans.
You might chill out a bit... |

You could have said "No we are nice people, but Britney Spears is in the car right behind us."

No sense of humor here. Trash? We were at a dump! Oh well...

Consider this: In the world of solid waste we have the following:
1) garbage - usually putrescible (organic) food waste with mixed non-organic waste material 2) trash - normally non-organic material (unwanted waste) without the putrescible garbage 3) rubbish - waste or unwanted non-organic debris (normallly associated with papergoods, cardboard, etc). 4) liter - loose debris normally classified as non-putrscible, usually "rubbish" So, asking about "garbage" was correct since some landfills will take non-putrscible material and ad-mix with liquids for a 30% solids by weight mixture sufficient for final disposition in the working face of the landfill. "......now you know the rest of the story............" :D |
Sunroof? You really know how to talk trash. ;)
