Talking Heads and Jonathan Richman
A friend of mine was supposed to play piano for Jerry Harrison's B-day. It was a song for Jerry's birthday by Patsy Cline called She's Got You. He happens to be his next door neighbor and was not ready to step up and play so he called me and through arm twisting (read: wanna do it? YES!) I got my GF to do it for him. It was an amazing party up in Mill Valley and although it was raining hard, everyone still had a lot of fun. My girl and I were in disbelief the whole time, and to put the icing on the cake, Jerry, Jonathan Richman and a couple other guys jammed in the music room for about an hour. I also got to meet and talk with Joe Boxer (the underwear guy) and he's buddies with Malcolm McLaren who I've always been a fan of. :cool:
