We are relocating to the City from The Scotland, I will be coming to there to work on contract basis with United States Environmental Protection Agency on a private research work So i need someone who could help me take care of house by doing some house work while am off to work. Someone that will also help in running some errands. I will be offering you $550 weekly, i will be needing your services from for three hours at any suitable time of yours , Mondays through Fridays. I believe you are fit for this position in as much you will prove yourself to be a reliable and good person, We have a financier that is based in the states and he will be handling the payment and some other expenses, so he will be the one that will be taking care of your the payment, I will instruct him to pay for the first weeks before my arrival so as to secure your service, actually i should have paid for more weeks but i will extend the payment if am satisfy with your service after the first week.

My financier will be making out a check to you before my arrival, you will be receiving a check of $ 3, 300 out which you will deducting your pay for the first week and you will be using the remaining to buy foodstuffs and other things needed in the house ,you will getting this foodstuff on the day of our arrival which is March 10 2009. Actually all flights from the United Kingdom arrives at nights so you will be getting the foodstuff in the morning and making all other preparations. I will also instruct my estate agent to mail the keys of the apartment to you so that you can do all other necessary preparations before we arrive,I will also email you the shopping list.

You have to get all this shopping before our arrival so that we wont have to start running around when we arrive, So my financier would be needing the following Informatio n to make out the check

You'd think by now the evolution of scammers would reach the level that they would use a grammar checking word processor. Besides the content itself so obviously phony, the grammar is atrocious for someone that is supposedly intelligent enough to be working for our government. ;)

Funny thing, I got spammed this morning for a sale I have on craigslist. This is a home appliance listed for $385. First email is "do you still have this for sale", when I replied, yes. The second email comes saying .......

* note the "hearing-in paired" phone. LOL!

You'll notice the note says they're moving to "the City". They have no idea where you actually live.

My note says "item". Same canned ambiguous standard reply regardless of what I'm selling.

Just as yours says "the City". Generic letter sent to anyone in any city in the world.

These scammers rely on finding one gullible person in 100,000. Hence, they send millions of these daily.

Sounds totally legit, reply and ask for more info on:
"You will also have a nice period of working with my wife."

Do you really want his wife and her period? Clots of luck there. ;)

They rely on your bank taking 14-21 days to attempt clear their garbage paper. In the meantime you are spending your own money on some menial items. You then remit the large excess funds back to the crooks. When it's all over, the bank declines their check and you are the big loser.

I want you to deduct $550 as your deposit and $400 for the shopping of groceries and then help me to send the remaining $ 2, 350 to my travel agent , I should have get the money acros s to my travel agent but i ran out funds here. for the bookings of her Air flight ticket, that can be well taken care of before my arrival.I hope i can count on you with this and i would be looking forward to see on my arrival . I hope she would be in good hands.
