Broken humerus=not funny

You would think with that name it would at least be a little funny..but isn't. Two weeks ago I broke it right under where the ball goes into the shoulder socket--too high of a break to cast, and the ortho confirmed it is a clean break and healing well--surgery not needed, but 5 more weeks in a sling and 4-6 weeks of rehab afterwards. Sleeping sucks.

Sucks since it is my right arm and am right handed.
Bike is put on hold, I have all my parts, but it is currently half-assembled.
I am also getting married this summer....

ski and snowboarding for the year is done....I was really loving my Christrmas present extreme K2 ...so much that I broke my cardinal rule and jumped without doing a scope-out jump first. I always try jump prior to trying a trick..but got ahead of myself after pounding the bumps..saw the jump. Hit it with some good speed prepping for a tip-cross backscratcher--got thrown at a funny angle--landed hard on my shoulder and right side.
Thought I was okay--rotated my arm a few grabbed my poles and got back on the lift--on the way up couldn't move arm. Buddy drove me home- Hit the emergency room--broken humerus.

First injury in 22 years of skiing...oh well some pics... so pasty

ouch! like a greenstick fracture? has alignment, so let it heal?

I banged my leg on an open drawer and wonder if I cracked something as it is waking me at night, but I know the sleeping thing is hard. lost of pillows and positions!

that one just looks broken.

I broke my humerus in an arm wrestling competition in high school. Moving your shoulder and having your arm stay stationary as the bone grinds at itself is still the weirdest thing I have ever felt.
