I positively love my Logitech cordless, laser, USB mouse. I forget the model number but it looks exactly like the one pictured. I use a laptop and the USB dongle is so small I can leave it in the laptop when I put it in my bag. I need to replace the batteries about once a year (and I use my computer all day and some of the night 7 days a week). Range is "only" about 30 FEET but I can't see the screen that far away anyway. ;-)
I liked it so much I bought a bunch of them for Xmas gifts for my software developer friends, around $70 each I think. It works on any surface except a glass table and the scrolling wheel is freewheeling so you can just "spin" down a long page. -Chris |
remember the brand/model?

Laser or optical are the reader on the bottom of the mouse. I think all wireless are the same. Bluetooth is a diff story. I don't have bluetooth.

Agreed. This Logitech model is the best mouse I've ever used. I previously used a bluetooth mouse with my laptop, primarily because you didn't need a USB dongle, but the bluetooth connection was frustratingly sketchy at best. Always had to reset the software. This Logitech uses the dongle shown, but its so small I never remove it from the laptop. Not cheap, but works beautifully every time. Tim |

I just bought the Logitech V450 Nano. $ 39.99 from Newegg.
It is a lazer wireless with the small usb dongle and it functions perfectly. My only complaint is the wheel feels cheap and clicks at all the detents. It sounds like the more expensive model has a better wheel. |

Amen, brother. That's why wireless TV remotes are a mindless fad as well. And don't get me started on those trendy cordless phones....strictly for girls. Tim |
